Can’t Say Enough Good Things
In the world of DWI expert witnesses, there are those that are academically qualified and those who aren’t! Indeed, among those who are qualified, there are those that can communicate, but sadly, most can’t! Narrowing the “can” pool, there are even fewer that are both natural and likable. Enter DWI Standardized Field Sobriety Test (SFST) Expert Lisa Martin!
As 1 of only 5 DWI Specialists in Texas who are allowed by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization to say we are “Board Certified Experts”, I can say that SFST Expert Lisa Martin is amazing. Not only has she taught and explained to me more about those field sobriety tests than I did know, but more, she has both made me a better lawyer and a more effective advocate for my DWI & ALR clients. Lisa is quick to recognize offense report and audio/video recording issues. Once identified, she has the witness talent to credibly weave and teach those reasonable doubts, in lay terms, to your jury. Alternatively, you can use those evidence points in your cross-examination of the arresting officer. Further, because she is an excellent writer, her opinion reports can be offered in ALR cases as impeachment evidence describing why the officer’s SFST “clues” should be suppressed, doubted, or given little weight!
With the above in mind, remembering the old saying, “it takes one to know one”, I have no hesitation in sharing my opinion that Lisa is an Expert’s Expert! Moreover, based on my experience in the world of DWI experts, she is the Best of the Best in SFSTs!!
